Thai AirAsia X to commence Bangkok-Brisbane service in Jun-2019

Thai AirAsia X announced (07-Feb-2019) plans to commence four times weekly Bangkok Don Mueang-Brisbane service on 25-Jun-2019. Brisbane will be the airline's first destination in Australia and the service is expected to bring 25,000 visitors p/a to Brisbane. Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) CEO Gert-Jan de Graaff said Thailand is one of Brisbane Airport's largest underserved markets. Queensland's Minister of Tourism Industry Development Kate Jones said: "This is a great opportunity to attract visitors from other destinations across Asia, with potential to improve access to Queensland for Indian and Chinese tourists connecting via...
