Tasmania’s Government launches ‘Make Yourself at Home’ travel voucher scheme

Tasmania‘s Premier and Minister for Tourism Peter Gutwein announced (27-Aug-2020) a new ‘Make Yourself at Home’ voucher incentive scheme to drive intrastate visitation, and to support and encourage Tasmanians to experience their home State. The AUD7.5 million (USD5.5 million) initiative will run between 07-Sep-2020 and 01-Dec-2020 and will benefit tourism businesses across the state. Through a new online registration system, Tasmanians can register as a single adult or a couple, or as a family, for accommodation vouchers and/or tourism experience vouchers. Tasmanians will pay and undertake their travel activity, and then claim the value of their vouchers using their receipts for eligible accommodation or an eligible experience.
