TAP Air Portugal CEO Antonoaldo Neves said the carrier received 1500 fewer slots than it requested at Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport for summer 2020 (Presstur, 21-Feb-2020). TAP requested 9079 slots and received 7574 slots. The assigned slots represent a 5% year-on-year increase in slots. Mr Neves stated: "There is no space, there is no investment. This is known… in two years no investment was made".
