Sydney Airport facilitates 58% of traffic between US and Australia

Sydney Airport MD and CEO Kerrie Mather stated (08-Sep-2017) the airport facilitates "58% of the passenger movements between the US and Australia". The airport will welcome United Airlines' new daily Houston-Sydney service on 20-Jan-2018, operating with Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The service will add 184,000 seats p/a on the route, increasing "the choice available to more than 2.4 million passengers travelling between our countries each year" added Ms Mather.
