Swissport opens base in Forteleza to handle Air France/KLM services

Swissport inaugurated (21-Mar-2018) a new base at Fortaleza Pinto Martins Airport with the objective of handling Air France and KLM cargo operations at the airport. Swissport already handles the carriers' operations at São Paulo Guarulhos International Airport, Campinas Viracopos Airport and Rio de Janeiro Galeão International Airport. Swissport Brazil CEO Renata Darakjian stated: "The growth of this airport with the arrival of Air France/KLM in partnership with Gol… is already a fact, that will transform this airport into a highly productive hub". Swissport will handle KLM's three times weekly Amsterdam-Fortaleza service operated with A330-200 aircraft and Joon's three times weekly Paris-Fortaleza service operated with A340-300 aircraft, effective May-2018.
