SWISS CEO expects further consolidation in the aviation industry in Europe

SWISS CEO Thomas Klühr said he expects further consolidation within the aviation industry in Europe in the coming years, adding: "Ultimately, no more than five major players are likely to survive" (magazine.pwc.ch, 06-Mar-2019). Mr Klühr also forecast: "The data dimension will gain in importance for airlines as they strive to resolve the contradiction between personalisation and standardisation". He added that the airlines offering the most effective solution to the conflict between data personalisation and data protection "will be the ones who come out on top".
