Sunshine Coast Airport: Steady increase in traffic from Air New Zealand seasonal route

Sunshine Coast Airport welcomed (06-Jul-2018) Air New Zealand's first Auckland-Sunshine Coast 2018 winter seasonal service. The route will operate four times weekly between 06-Jul-2018 until 28-Oct-2018. Sunshine Coast Airport CEO Peter Pallot says the airport's alliance with Air New Zealand continues to benefit travellers from both sides of the Tasman. Mr Pallot reported passenger numbers on the route "have steadily increased over the last six years it has been in operation, and we only anticipate this trend will increase, as our Kiwi cousins continue to vote with their feet". The airport is working with Air New Zealand, Visit Sunshine Coast and Tourism Noosa to promote the region to New Zealanders. Mr Pallot added that Sunshine Coast residents "are also taking advantage of Auckland's connections to a range of Air New Zealand international destinations including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver and beyond."
