Subic Airport 'too close' to Clark Airport for commercial operations: Philippine Airlines president

Philippine Airlines president and COO Jaime Bautista said Subic Bay International Airport may be "too close" to Clark International Airport to handle viable commercial passenger operations (GMA News, 05-Jul-2018). He commented: "For passenger operations, maybe it's too close to Clark but maybe for business jets, for general aviation, I think it will be good if Subic will be opened for that type of operation". Department of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade commented: "We are now closely looking at making the Subic Airport operational once again. We are in serious talks with the Subic authorities".
