Stobart Group: ‘Conversations are ongoing’ on developing routes at Carlisle Lake District Airport

    Stobart Group head of corporate projects Kate Willard reported “conversations are ongoing” on the development of commercial operations at Carlisle Lake District Airport (News and Star, 10-Aug-2019). Ms Willard stated: “It is just working out what those other routes would be”, adding, “I think we need to look at some charters”. Loganair has operated 110 services from the Lake District region to London Southend AirportBelfast City George Best Airport and Dublin Airport since launching the routes on 04-Jul-2019. As previously reported by CAPA, Stobart Groupowns and operates the airport and has invested in a new terminal, runways and taxiways. It was previously an RAF airfield.
