Stewart International Airport to be renamed ‘New York Stewart International Airport’

    Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANY&NJ) announced (22-Feb-2018) Stewart International Airport will be renamed New York Stewart International Airport as part of a USD37 million upgrade and modernisation of the airport. PANY&NJ said market research indicates that incorporating ‘New York’ into the name will make it significantly easier for travellers to identify the airport’s geographical location, which is located one hour north of New York City.
