SriLankan Airlines aims to expand fleet to 34 aircraft by 2024

SriLankan Airlines CEO Vipula Gunatilleka reported the airline plans to convert its order for four A350 aircraft to an order for four A330-900neo aircraft (Air Transport World Online/Adaderana, 12/13-Apr-2019). Mr Gunatilleka said SriLankan aims to expand its fleet from 27 to 34 aircraft by the end of 2024, with 19 narrowbody aircraft and 15 widebody aircraft. He added that the airline plans to use the additional aircraft to commence or resume services to multiple international destinations, including Sydney, Ho Chi Minh City, Nairobi, Kathmandu, Paris and Frankfurt.
