SpiceJet CFO Kiran Koteshwar confirmed the LCC plans to add 60 aircraft to its fleet in FY2019/2020, including 30 aircraft previously operated by Jet Airways (Business Standard/Financial Express, 28/29-May-2019). Mr Koteshwar said SpiceJet has "already inducted 22 aircraft from lessors of Jet Airways" and plans to induct a further eight former Jet Airways aircraft within the next 10-15 days. He added that the aircraft will be deployed on services utilising "prime slots" at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
