SpiceJet places most personnel on leave without pay during suspension period in India

SpiceJet reportedly placed all employees not actively working during the suspension of passenger services in India on leave without pay, effective 25-Mar-2020 to 31-Mar-2020, and likely beyond (Reuters/Times of India/Financial Express/Live Mint, 31-Mar/01-Apr-2020). The LCC also announced a 10% to 30% salary cut for all senior and mid level personnel for Mar-2020, with SpiceJet CEO Ajay Singh accepting a 30% salary cut. SpiceJet informed employees: "We have opted for a pay cut and leave-without-pay to ensure that you do not lose your employment".
