Southwest Airlines: Mexico is ‘off trend’, delivers ‘weak’ revenue during 2018

    Southwest Airlines chairman and CEO Gary C Kelly said the airline is not planning to make any cuts in capacity to Mexico, despite “weak” revenue during 2018 (Seeking Alpha, 25-Oct-2018). He noted Mexico is “off trend”, adding he believes the rest of the industry is also reporting the same issue. Mr Kelly remarked he is a “believer in Mexico” and says there has been “really strong demand” for the country from leisure passengers up until 2018.
