South Australian Tourism Commission releases ‘Australian Visitor Economy Sector Plan 2030’ outline

    South Australian Tourism Commission released 06-Aug-2019) its “Australian Visitor Economy Sector Plan 2030”, outlining its “ambitious” tourism agenda. The agenda aims to increase the state’s visitor economy to AUD12.8 billion (USD8.7 billion) by 2030 and generate an additional 16,000 jobs. South Australian Tourism Commission chief executive Rodney Harrex said there are six key priorities targeted to achieve this goal: “Marketing, Experience & Supply Development, Collaboration, Industry Capability, Leisure & Business Events and Promoting the Value of Tourism”. South Australia Premier Steven Marshall said the “plan is one of eight different industry sector plans that will form the basis of the State Government’s ‘Growth State’ initiative”.
