Solomon Islands Ministry of Communication and Aviation Permanent Secretary Moses Virivolomo reported Kitano Construction Corporation and Solomon Islands' Government entered an agreement for Honiara Henderson International Airport airport upgrades (RNZ, 20-Nov-2019). The USD33.8 million upgrade is scheduled to complete by Jun-2022 and includes repair and renovations to existing infrastructure, installation of flood control technology and lighting, a new apron and taxiway as well as a new departure terminal.
