Solomon Islands 1Q2019 arrivals fall 2.2%

Solomon Islands National Statistics Office (NSO) reported (08-Jun-2019) 1Q2019 total arrivals declined 2.2% year-on-year to 11,849. Solomon Airlines handled 44.2% of total visitors, followed by Air Niugini (25.3%) and Virgin Australia (14.7%). Australians (37.9%) remained the largest group of visitors to the Solomon Islands, although Australian arrivals declined 14.0%.
