Solomon Airlines completes A320 route proving at Munda Airport, ahead of Brisbane route launch

Solomon Airlines reported the carrier successfully completed an A320 route proving flight at Munda Airport in preparation for the launch of international service to Brisbane from 30-Mar-2019 (radionz.co.nz, 26-Mar-2019). The carrier will operate once weekly on the route. Solomon Airlines ground operations manager Dave Pearce noted the aircraft will bring tourist arrivals to the Solomon Islands and expects frequency will be increased. Mr Pearce stated: "Tourism is what's going to move the Solomons forward, it's not logging or mining".
