7 October, 2019
Slovenia's Minister for Economic Development and Technology Zdravko Počivalšek reportedly proposed establishing a new national carrier, tentatively known as Air Slovenia, following the suspension of operations and collapse of Adria Airways (Reuters, 01-Oct-2019). Mr Počivalšek's proposal reported involves forming the new carrier by the end of 2019, with the intent to launch service by the end of Feb-2020. The new national airline would initially build up a network of 15 destinations with a fleet of up to 12 aircraft.
