SilkAir announced (Jan-2019) plans to operate nonstop Singapore-Broome service on 13-Jun-2019, 17-Jun-2019, 20-Jun-2019 and 24-Jun-2019. The service is timed to coincide with specific events, including school holidays in Singapore, race meets in Broome and the 'Staircase to the Moon' phenomenon in Broome. The service follows a successful trial operation in 2018 and will be operated in partnership with Broome Airport, Northwest Tourism, The Shire of Broome and Tourism Western Australia.
