SIA: Challenges with 737 and 787 aircraft have 'moderated' capacity plans

Singapore Airlines Group (SIA) SVP of financing Stephen Barnes stated (17-May-2019) "We need to recognise that events relating to aircraft are causing our capacity plans to be moderated a little bit", referring in particular to the grounding of its Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet and challenges with Trent 1000 TEN engines fitted to Boeing 787 aircraft. Mr Barnes added "it's clear that developments with both of those aircraft types are causing a moderation in our capacity growth.
