10 September, 2018

Mexico's Secretary of Tourism Enrique de la Madrid stressed the importance of a new airport in Mexico City, outlining the positive impacts a new airport would have on the country's economy and development (Milenio, 09-Sep-2018). He noted it should not even "be a topic for discussion", referring to the 20 years of analysis behind New Mexico City International Airport. Mr de la Madrid warned that if Mexico did not follow through on its decisions, "Mexico will be left behind". He reiterated: "We can not miss the opportunity of the airport".
