Schiphol Airport to continue expansion of facial recognition following trials

Royal Schiphol Group plans to expand facial recognition and biometric boarding technology usage at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in 2019, following trials conducted in 2017 (De Telegraaf, 19-Nov-2018). The operator aims to improve passenger flow, speed, reliability and user friendliness through the technology, with passenger participation in the new systems voluntary.
