Sao Paulo‘s State Secretary of Tourism Viniciu Lummertz commented on plans to create a stopover programme in Sao Paulo, stating: “Gol Linhas Aéreas, Delta Air Lines and Air France–KLM will be the first on the programme, probably from Aug-2019, followed by Alitalia and American Airlines“(Mercado e Eventos, 19-Jun-2019). He added: “We’re launching the stopover programme worldwide with all carriers. We have 22 partnering international carriers… We do not have resources to promote Sao Paulo worldwide unless it’s with this partnership”.
