Santiago Airport: ‘Travelling to Chile and inside of the country shall be easier’

    Santiago International Airport CCO Taysse Stephane, via personal LinkedIn account, commented (30-Aug-2018) on the Chile Government’s plans to reduce boarding tax in the country effective immediately, stating: “Traveling to Chile and inside of the country shall be easier for middle class population with that important communication of Chilean government”. As previously reported by CAPA, Chile’s Minister of Finance Jose Ramon Valente announced a “20% reduction in the boarding taxes” effective immediately. He added that the tax will reduce a further 10% in 2019 and other 10% in 2020. International boarding taxes were USD30 and will reduce to USD26, then USD25 in 2018 and USD24 in 2020.
