Samoa Government issues frequency reduction requirement to airlines

Samoa's Government issued (29-Feb-2020) a requirement for international services into Samoa to be reduced as part of ongoing efforts to prevent coronavirus entering Samoa, effective immediately:

  • Samoa Airways:
    • Reduce New Zealand-Samoa frequency from five to three times weekly;
    • Reduce Tafuna-Samoa to four times daily;
  • Talofa Airways:
    • Tafuna-Samoa reduced to four daily frequencies;
  • Air New Zealand:
    • New Zealand-Samoa reduced from six to three times weekly;
  • Fiji Airways:
    • Fiji-Samoa services reduced from five to two times weekly.

All travellers entering Samoa from or transiting through all ports, including New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, American Samoa, Hawaii and Tonga, are required to undergo medical examination three days prior to arrival. [more - original PR]
