1 May, 2019

Samoa Airways former chairman Fe'esago George Fepulea'i said it "is an opportune time for me to move out" from the airline (Radio NZ, 01-May-2019). Mr Fepulea'i resigned from the carrier in late Apr-2019. He stated: "I think it's appropriate now that someone else should come in and give a direction with the government as to where they go from here". Mr Fepulea'i outlined he has "no doubts" the airline will succeed, however the future of the airline and its fleet will be up to the Samoan Government.
