SAA temporarily suspends Johannesburg-Hong Kong service

South African Airways (SAA) suspended (21-Nov-2019) four times weekly Johannesburg-Hong Kong service from 23-Nov-2019 to 14-Dec-2019, in order to “curb significant financial losses incurred on the route, exacerbated recently by the ongoing political tensions in Hong Kong”. SAA CCO Philip Saunders said the suspension will enable the airline to “concentrate on resuming more regional services at the earliest opportunity and make better use of all our resources”.
