Ryanair outlines new environmental policy, aims to be plastic free in five years

Ryanair outlined (04-Nov-2019) its new environmental policy adopted at the airline's AGM in Sep-2019. The policy commits to:

  • Becoming plastic free in five years;
  • Reducing noise emissions by up to 40% per seat;
  • Reducing CO2 emissions by a further 10% by 2030 (up to 50% less than other major EU airlines);
  • Encouraging passengers to use the airlines voluntary carbon offset programme;
  • Working with environmental partners to improve the environment in Europe.
