28 July, 2020

Ryanair stated (27-Jul-2020) FY2021 "will be a very challenging year for the Ryanair Group of airlines" and it is "impossible to predict" the length of the coronavirus pandemic. Ryanair stated its "biggest fear" is a second wave across Europe in autumn, and hopes EU governments will implement effective track and tracing systems, and EU citizens will comply with recommended face masks, rigorous hand hygiene and other measures, to avoid further lockdowns or restrictions on intra-EU services. Ryanair cannot provide any FY2021 guidance at this time, and expects to emerge from the coronavirus crisis with a much lower cost base. [more - original PR]
