Ryanair CEO on middle seat blocking: Temperature checks, face masks 'makes more sense'

Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary reiterated he sees the concept of middle seat blocking to prevent the transmission of coronavirus as "complete nonsense" (Handelsblatt/Sky News, 24-Apr-2020). "The distance between the seat by the window and the aisle is too small, as well as between the row in front and behind", Mr O'Leary continued. He also pointed out the difficulty of maintaining distance during boarding, transport to/from the aircraft and travel within the terminal, arguing that temperature checks and wearing face masks "makes more sense".
