Russia's Transport Ministry looks to introduce 0% VAT for all domestic services until end of 2024

Russia's Ministry of Transport reportedly asked First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov to support the establishment of a 0% value added tax (VAT) rate for domestic air services from 2021 to the end of 2024 (Interfax, 15-Sep-2020). Domestic services via Moscow airports are subject to a 10% VAT rate until the end of 2020. A VAT rate of 0% applies to regional services bypassing Moscow, and Simferopol, Kaliningrad Oblast and Far East Federal District services.
