Russian Ministry of Transport to propose regional airport infrastructure development plan

    Russia‘s Minister of Transport Yevgeny Dietrich said the ministry intends to prepare an infrastructure development plan for construction projects involving 66 regional Russian airports out to 2025 (, 14-Aug-2018). Mr Dietrich said the plan covers more than 30 regional airports in Russia’s far east and southern regions. According to Mr Dietrich, the plan aims to increase interregional services to free up congestion at Moscow airports and establish a Siberian hub at Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport.
