Russia and Turkey prepare new agreement on tourism

Russia's Federal Agency for Tourism Head Oleg Safonov announced (27-Oct-2017) a new intergovernmental agreement on the development of tourism between Russia and Turkey is being prepared. Mr Safonov said: "the previous agreement was signed in 1995, since than 22 years have passed and the conditions of tourism development are now somewhat different". As previously reported by CAPA, Russia's President Vladimir Putin reported an increase in the number of Russian visitor arrivals in Turkey in 2017 and attributed the increase to the implementation of agreements between the countries.
