Royal Brunei reports 95% reduction in capacity due to coronavirus outbreak

Royal Brunei Airlines chairman Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah reported the carrier has reduced capacity by 95%, only retaining routes to Singapore, Melbourne, Hong Kong and Manila (The Scoop, 01-Apr-2020). Mr Abdullah stated the routes are maintaining the essential trade of food, medical supplies and other consignments. He said: "The financial implications are going to be huge", adding: "Nobody knows how long this is going to last, but even when COVID-19 goes away, the travel industry might not immediately come back".
