Rex general manager: Mildura Airport head tax increases 'in breach of ongoing commercial agreements'

Regional Express (Rex) general manager network strategy and sales Warrick Lodge, commenting on suspension of Mildura-Sydney service, stated (13-Sep-2018) the decision was the result of Mildura Airport plans to increase airport head tax by 22.5% on all routes the airport later amended the increase to 13.7% on the Melbourne route only. Mr Lodge said the increase is a "blatant money grab" and "in breach of ongoing commercial agreements".
