Restructuring plan being developed for Air Burkina

Burkina Faso Minister of Transport, Urban Mobility and Road Safety Vincent Dabilgou announced a restructuring plan is being developed for Air Burkina to “enable it to regain strength and cope with… competition” (, 21-Feb-2018). The company is owned by the State of Burkina Faso, following withdrawal of the Agakan Group in Apr-2017. “We are in a very competitive sector and we must be patriotic”, Mr Dabilgou said. Efficiency measures have already been implemented, amounting to savings around XOF100 million (USD187,000) in 2017. A full year with the new measures are expected to save up to XOF400 million (USD750,000).
