Real Tonga looks to add an additional Saab 340B to increase Chinese tourism in the country

Real Tonga CEO Tevita Palu reported the carrier is looking to incorporate a second Saab 340B to increase Chinese visitation to Tonga (Smart Aviation Asia-Pacific, 07-Jun-2019). Mr Palu said: "Tourism is obviously starting from a low base, but it is clear that the Chinese coming through Fiji are driving much of the growth". Chinese citizens can enter the nation visa free to both Fiji and Tonga, with nonstop service offered from Fiji to Hong Kong and seasonal services offered mainland China from Nadi International Airport.
