Queensland reports strong arrivals growth from China, India and Hong Kong

Queensland State Government Acting Tourism Industry Development Minister Shannon Fentiman reported (22-Jul-2018) preliminary data released by Tourism Research Australia shows tourism in Queensland "continues to perform strongly" for the year ending Mar-2018, led by strong growth from China, India and Hong Kong. Overall international visitor arrivals for the 12 month period rose 6% to 2.7 million. Visitor numbers and expenditure from visitors from China rose 20% year-on-year, while arrivals from Hong Kong also grew 20% and visitors from India rose 41%. [more - original PR]
