Qatar Airways announced (09-Aug-2020) plans to resume service to Adelaide from 16-Aug-2020. Australia's Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Simon Birmingham noted the resumption of this service will "provide another freight route for South Australian exporters...another avenue for repatriating Australians", and will "eventually provide a path for international tourists into South Australia when our borders re-open". Upon resumption of service to Adelaide, Qatar intends to offer service to the following points in Australia:
- Adelaide: Twice weekly;
- Brisbane: Three times weekly;
- Perth: Four times weekly;
- Melbourne: Daily;
