Qatar Airways acquires stake in JetSuite, JetBlue to increase investment

Qatar Airways acquired (10-Apr-2018) a minority stake in US private aviation company JetSuite and, indirectly, in "semi-private" air service provider JetSuiteX. Qatar Airways aims to support the growth of JetSuite's private aviation business, which currently focuses on light and very light jets. JetSuiteX operates a fleet of Embraer ERJ 135 aircraft from private terminals in California and Nevada, "at a price competitive with commercial travel". Qatar Airways' investment will enable faster fleet expansion and the ability to reach new destinations, including the potential to bring the "semi-private" model to additional US regions. JetBlue Airways is also a stakeholder in JetSuite and JetSuiteX and will be increasing its investment.
