Qantas announced (15-Jun-2018) a series of adjustments on its routes from Sydney to Noumea, Jakarta and Singapore from Dec-2018, in order to meet an increase in demand. Details include:
- Sydney-Noumea service will increase from three to four times weekly from 12-Dec-2018, with the carrier deploying Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the additional frequency. The capacity increase remains subject to government and regulatory approvals;
- From 13-Dec-2018, Sydney-Jakarta increase from five to six weekly frequencies, with the additional service operated with an A330;
- From 14-Dec-2018, the carrier will operate an A330 on Sydney-Singapore service an extra three times per week, raising total frequencies from 14 to 17 per week. [more - original PR]
