Qantas Rewards partners with Simply Cups to allow members to earn points by recycling coffee cups

Qantas Business Rewards partnered (14-Nov-2017) with Simply Cups to give members an opportunity to earn Qantas Points when they purchase and collect coffee cups to be recycled in the first dedicated coffee cup recycling facility in Australia. Presently, no recycling facility in Australia can recycle coffee cups, due to their plastic linings. Simply Cups will introduce a new technology to separate the plastic liner from the paperboard outer cups, with a recycling facility to be commissioned in early 2018 with the ability to recycled the cup materials into paper and plastic goods.
