Qantas responds to increased cancellation on Sydney-Canberra route

Qantas announced it would adjust Sydney-Canberra schedule in response to increasing cancellations on the route (Sydney Morning Herald, 07-Nov-2017). In Sep-2017, Sydney-Canberra services had the highest level of cancellations across Australia at 8.1% of all frequencies, according to Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development. From the week beginning 13-Nov-2017, Qantas will adjust the schedule and add larger aircraft on the route to assist with cancellations. Qantas stated: "These changes will start flowing through from next week and we expect to see a significant reduction in cancellation rates in the impacted ports".
