Qantas Group reports very strong forward bookings for Perth-London route

Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce reported forward bookings for the carrier's new Perth-London service are "really strong" and the planned route is "performing at, or ahead of, our expectations" leading to optimism about its performance (Sydney Morning Herald, 29-Nov-2017). Mr Joyce said the carrier believes the direct link between Australia and the UK is "going to be a very, very strong route" and will show in Qantas' financial results in 2018. The new route is due to launch on 25-Mar-2018, operating with Boeing 787-9 equipment.
