Qantas Freight and Jetstar Asia to enter cargo partnership from Nov-2019

    Qantas Freight and Jetstar Asia entered a partnership, under which Qantas Freight will manage Jetstar Asia’s freight capacity across 23 destinations in 13 markets from 20-Nov-2019 (Air Cargo News/Airline Economics/Global Travel Media/Transport & Logistics News, 12/13-Sep-2019). The partnership is expected to provide Jetstar Asia customers with more direct access through the Qantas Group network of more than 110 markets in Australia, Asia, Europe and the US. Jetstar Asia operates a fleet of 18 A320 aircraft based in Singapore, with each aircraft offering cargo capacity of up to 2.5 tonnes. Jetstar Asia handled nearly 17,000 tonnes of cargo in the year ended Jun-2019, while Qantas Freight recorded 90,000 tonnes of cargo across Asia in the same period.
