Qantas fourth 787-9 to be delivered on 02-Mar-2018, featuring special indigenous livery

Qantas unveiled (14-Feb-2018) a special Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander livery on its latest Boeing 787-9. The new livery features the work of the late Northern Territory artist and senior Anmatyerre woman, Emily Kame Kngwarreye. The aircraft itself will be named Emily Kame Kngwarreye in tribute to the artist. The aircraft will fly from the US to Alice Springs on 02-Mar-2018. Registered as VH-ZND, the aircraft will then fly to Sydney and Melbourne for crew familiarisation flights on Qantas’ domestic network before it enters service on international routes from late Mar-2018. This will be the fourth 787-9 to enter service with the Qantas fleet. [more – original PR]
