Qantas completes USD936.8m underwitten placement

Qantas Group completed (26-Jun-2020) its AUD1360 million (USD936.8 million) underwritten placement of approximately AUD372.7 million (USD256.7 million) new shares to institutional investors at AUD3.65 (USD2.5) per placement share. Qantas Group received high levels of interest from both existing institutional shareholders and new investors, with demand to participate in the placement significantly in excess of the funds. Approximately 94% of the placement shares were allocated to existing shareholders. The placement shares once issued will represent a 25% increase to total shares on issue.
