Qantas CEO: Perth-London generated over USD70m in WA publicity

    Qantas CEO Alan Joyce reported Perth-London service holds a load factor of 91% since the route was launched in Mar-2018 (Perth Live, 22-Jan-2019). He noted the launch of Perth-London service generated around AUD100 million (USD71.2 million) in free publicity for Western Australia (WA) as it captured “the imagination of the world”. Mr Joyce added the carrier contributes more than AUD1 billion (USD712.4 million) to the WA economy and directly and indirectly employs more than 4000 people.
