Porter Airlines executive chairman Robert Deluce said the airline is “not for sale”, adding it is not the first time there has been consolidation among Canadian airlines (BNN Bloomberg, 04-Jul-2019). As previously reported by CAPA, Onex Corporation entered a definitive agreement to acquire WestJet and Air Canada reached a definitive agreement to merge with Transat AT. Mr Deluce noted Porter Airlines will “just keep our head down and keep doing what we’re doing”, adding: “I think we have got a formula that’s working”.
